Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Education Manager for KS3 to join our compassionate team in GB. This vital role involves leading educational initiatives and ensuring the delivery of high-quality learning experiences that align with our inclusive ethos. Based at our school, you will play a key part in shaping the future of our students and supporting their development.
Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate the KS3 group, ensuring it meets the needs of diverse learners.
- Prioritise the safeguarding of pupils at all times
- Collaborate with teaching and support staff to develop innovative and inclusive teaching strategies.
- Monitor student progress and implement interventions to support individual learning plans.
- Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that promotes safety, respect and engagement.
- Develop timetables that suit the needs of the individuals within your Key Stage
- Oversee curriculum development and ensure compliance with educational standards under the guidance of Senior leaders.
- Manage and support staff including development through appraisal, training and mentorship, ensuring high professional standards throughout the team.
- Maintain strong communication with parents, caregivers, and external stakeholders.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of school practices aligned with our policies and holistic approach.
- Manage and allocate resources to meet the needs of your key stage pupils.
- Work closely with all senior leaders to follow the school development strategy
- Qualifications
- Proven experience in special needs education,
- Experience in management or school leadership.
- Strong knowledge of SEN and ideally KS3 curriculum standards.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to develop inclusive teaching and support strategies.
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive, child-centered learning environment.
- Relevant qualifications in management, education or special needs support.
- Ability to lead and work collaboratively with a diverse team
Our pupils have a range of challenges from moderate learning difficulties to social, emotional and behavioural difficulties and may present challenging behaviours.
In addition to some classroom duties, you have an advantage if you have:
· De-escalation and physical Intervention experience
· Experience of emotional regulation e.g. PACE, Trauma Informed Practice, THRIVE
