Restaurant Senior Supervisor (Brunch Café, Daytime Only)
£13.60 – £14.00 per hour
High-volume brunch restaurant | Daytime hours only | No late nights
Based in Edinburgh, we operate busy, high-volume brunch restaurants serving breakfast and lunch daily.
We’re hiring a Senior Supervisors.
This is a hands-on leadership role on the floor, not a passive position.
How the Role Works
There is a clear structure:
- Supervisor → owns a section
- Senior Supervisor → owns the shift

What You’ll Be Doing
Supervisor
- Running a defined section during service
- Owning guest experience within that section
- Supporting team members and flagging issues early
- Maintaining pace, standards, and communication
- Opening the restaurant on occasions — taking responsibility for setup, readiness, and standards before service begins
Senior Supervisor (in addition to the above)
- Running full shifts (especially non-peak)
- Supporting peak service as #2 on the floor
- Managing flow, sections, and team deployment
- Opening and closing the restaurant to standard
- Keeping service controlled, organised, and consistent
What We’re Looking For
You need to be comfortable in high-volume, fast-paced service.
Minimum expectations:
- Experience in a busy restaurant (not low-volume café service)
- Confidence leading people during live service
- Calm, decisive, and organised under pressure
- Strong standards - you notice issues early and act on them
Barista experience preferred — you should be confident stepping onto coffee during busy periods to maintain service flow.
For Senior Supervisor level, we’re looking for:
- Proven experience running shifts end-to-end
- Ability to control service, not just react to it
- Confidence making decisions without escalation
