Assistant Manager

As an integral part of the management team in our nursery you will be responsible for supporting the nursery manager and room seniors.
You will provide direction, guidance, leadership, expertise and enthusiasm while ensuring the nursery is a safe and nurturing environment for all children.
We are looking for a candidate who has a minimum 3 years’ experience and or holds a SQF level 4 Social Services and Young People (SCQF Level 9)
Your responsibilities will include –
· A practical knowledge of and ability to apply all relevant curriculums in the nursery environment to the benefit of the children
· Supervise and support staff to deliver the relevant curriculums and in their day to day duties
· Lead and build a strong team in a busy setting
· Know, review and create nursery policy
· Strong knowledge of safeguarding, child protection values and whistle blowing policies
· A good knowledge of observations, planning and future steps
· Strong administrative skills
· An ability to proficiently use a variety of computer programs including excel and word
· Reconciliation of accounts and banking to ensure all accounts are up to date
· Social media experience to best publicise the excellent care and experiences our children receive in the nursery
· To build and maintain positive relationships with the parents/carers so that a positive partnership exists between nursery, the child and their family
· Lead and run the nursery in the absence of the manager
