We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Youth Team Leader to oversee a supported accommodation service. Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise young people residing in supported accommodation, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
- Develop and implement personalised support plans tailored to individual needs, fostering independence and life skills.
- Provide mentoring and guidance to promote positive behaviour, self-esteem, and personal growth.
- Coordinate activities, programmes, and educational opportunities that encourage social inclusion and skill development.
- Work collaboratively with external agencies, families, and other professionals to support young people's holistic needs.
- Maintain accurate records of progress, incidents, and support provided in accordance with organisational policies.
- Promote a respectful and inclusive environment that encourages young people's participation and confidence.
Experience
- Proven experience in teaching, youth work, or working directly with children or young people.
- Experience in mentoring or supporting vulnerable groups is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of special education needs (SEN) or experience working within special education settings is advantageous.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to build trusting relationships with young people from diverse backgrounds.
- A compassionate approach combined with excellent communication skills to motivate and inspire young individuals. Pay: £34,000.00-£39,000.00 per year
