Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Grill Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality grilled dishes in a fast-paced restaurant environment. Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of grilled dishes according to recipes and customer preferences
- Ensure all food is prepared efficiently, maintaining high standards of quality and presentation
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the grill station in accordance with food safety regulations
- Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure optimal results
- Assist in meal preparation for service, including marinating, seasoning, and garnishing dishes
- Follow health and safety guidelines diligently to uphold hygiene standards within the kitchen
- Collaborate with team members to deliver excellent customer service during busy periods
- Manage stock levels of ingredients specific to grilling operations and notify management of shortages
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or a similar role within a restaurant or catering environment
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
- Previous experience working with grills or barbecues is highly desirable
- Good organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
- Culinary experience demonstrating proficiency in meal preparation and presentation
- Knowledge of restaurant operations, including serving procedures, is advantageous
