Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Part-time Sports Coach to join our dynamic team at Sherborne Girls in. This role is vital in promoting physical activity and sportsmanship among our students, aligning with our commitment to holistic education.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging sports coaching sessions tailored to different age groups and skill levels.
- Promote teamwork, sportsmanship, and healthy competition among students.
- Support the development of students' physical skills and confidence.
- Collaborate with teaching staff to integrate sports activities into the broader curriculum.
- Ensure safety standards are maintained during all sporting activities.
- Organize and oversee extracurricular sports events and competitions.
- Provide feedback and encouragement to help students improve their performance.
- Foster a positive environment that encourages student participation and enjoyment.
- Qualifications
- Proven experience in sports coaching or physical education.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to motivate and inspire young students.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to sports activities.
- Previous experience working with school-aged children is preferred.
- Enthusiasm for promoting active lifestyles.
- Relevant coaching certifications or qualifications are advantageous.
- Ability to work flexibly as part of a team.
