HEAD GROOMER WANTED
We are looking for an experienced, confident and professional Head Groomer to join our growing salon on a full-time basis.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is not only passionate about grooming, but is ready to take on a senior role and play an important part in the day-to-day running of the salon.
The Role
As Head Groomer, you will be responsible for both professional grooming and the general operation of the salon, including:
- Grooming dogs to a consistently high professional standard
- Providing excellent customer service and building strong relationships with clients
- Taking responsibility for the general day-to-day operation of the salon
- Opening and closing the salon and acting as a key holder
- Taking and recording the daily takings
- Supporting and supervising other groomers within the team
- Supporting and helping to develop our apprentices
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, organisation and health & safety
- Helping ensure the salon runs smoothly and efficiently each day
- Leading by example and maintaining the high standards we expect across the business
We’re Looking For Someone Who:
- Is fully qualified and experienced in professional dog grooming
- Has excellent grooming skills and confidence handling a variety of breeds and temperaments
- Has previous experience working in a busy grooming environment
- Has excellent customer service and communication skills
- Is reliable, organised and able to work independently
- Is confident taking responsibility and making decisions
- Enjoys supporting and mentoring other groomers and apprentices
- Has a positive attitude and takes pride in their work
- Is looking for a long-term position within a friendly, professional salon
This is a hands-on leadership position, so we’re looking for someone who is confident both behind the grooming table and in helping to run the salon.
Salary: £28,000 - £32,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Plus 10% monthly profit bonus
28 days holiday
