Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Part-Time Cleaner to join our team and help maintain a welcoming, safe, and hygienic environment for all visitors and staff.
Regular Weekly Tasks
The weekly hours will include maintaining the Centre to a clean, tidy and welcoming standard, including:
- Cleaning and checking toilets
- Sweeping, vacuuming and mopping floors as required
- Cleaning and tidying communal areas
- Emptying bins and replacing bin liners
- Cleaning kitchen and refreshment areas
- Wiping down tables, chairs and frequently used surfaces
- Checking that entrances, corridors and other shared areas are clean and presentable
- Basic visual checks of the building and reporting any issues
- Checking supplies and reporting when cleaning or other essential supplies need replenishing
- General tidying and presentation of the Centre
- Other reasonable weekly tasks required to keep the Centre operating effectively
Monthly and Periodic Tasks
The role will also include larger or less frequent jobs, scheduled within the available hours as required. These may include:
- Deep cleaning of areas as required
- Cleaning skirting boards, doors, frames and other less frequently cleaned surfaces
- Detailed cleaning of kitchen areas and equipment
- Cleaning storage areas and removing unnecessary items
- Dusting and cleaning higher or less accessible areas where safe to do so
- Seasonal cleaning and preparation
- Additional cleaning following busy periods, events or particular Centre bookings
- Identifying and reporting maintenance issues or items requiring repair
- Other periodic jobs agreed with the Centre
Qualifications
- Proven experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial work preferred
- Ability to work independently with attention to detail and efficiency
- Good physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks that involve standing, bending, and lifting
- Knowledge of health and safety standards related to cleaning procedures
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining high standards of cleanliness

Pay: £14.75 per hour
