We are seeking an enthusiastic and reliable Chef to join our team at Newburgh Golf Club. This is a varied and rewarding role that offers the opportunity to take ownership of the kitchen, showcase creativity, and contribute to a high-quality catering experience for our members and guests.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing and serving fresh, high-quality food for club members, visitors, and event guests.
- Working independently and confidently during busy service periods.
- Managing kitchen operations during solo shifts, ensuring efficient service and high standards.
- Planning, developing, and introducing creative seasonal menus.
- Catering for a variety of events, including golf days, corporate functions, competitions, and private bookings.
- Maintaining food hygiene, health and safety, and stock control procedures.
- Managing food ordering, storage, and waste control.
About the Role
This is a diverse position that combines day-to-day clubhouse catering with larger golf and corporate event catering. The successful candidate will be comfortable working independently while also delivering excellent service during busy periods and special events.
Skills and Experience
- Previous chef or kitchen experience preferred.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and manage a busy service independently.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- Passion for producing quality food and delivering excellent customer service.
- Creativity and enthusiasm for developing and refreshing menus.
- Knowledge of food hygiene and kitchen safety standards.
