We have a position for a diagnostic technician carrying out diagnostics and repairs. The candidate will be working within a team of 14 people as a senior member of staff. Hours of work may be negotiable and possibly flexible to suit the applicant‘s needs.
We are looking for a technician who is customer focused, can work on their own initiative, in a fast paced environment, who is keen and enthusiastic to help keeping our business growing. About Us:
We are a successful Independent Mercedes service and repair workshop.
We specialise in the maintenance of Mercedes vehicles however work on all makes and models dealing with some very large fleet contracts for some of the city’s largest companies.
Our workshop is equipped with the latest genuine dealer diagnostic technology and equipment.
We have a very low staff turnover rate and most of our staff have been with us many years.
As a company we like to regularly reward our staff for their hard work with meals out, trips to the races, lunch and breakfasts bought in, team building/fun events and trips as a fully paid weekend in London to the FA Cup Final.
We truly believe that our staff deserve a great work/family life balance and try to be as flexible as we can allowing our staff (where possible) to never miss their children’s important occasions such as school plays, allowing our staff to occasionally start late/finish early to help with school drop offs and pick ups. This is not just limited to people with children all staff are able to request to leave early on occasion and we endeavour to make this possible as much as we can. Additional leave throughout the year above holiday allowance is frequently granted.
The ideal candidate will be available to work at least one Saturday (4-6 hours) per month as overtime.
We would consider four day working week for the ideal applicant.
Duties include:
- Carrying out electronic diagnostics.
- General service and repair of motor vehicles.
- Road testing vehicles.
- QC work carried out on vehicles by other technicians.
-Liase with our reception team with regard to repairs required to vehicles and occasionally advise customers on necessary repairs
Experience/Candidate Requirements
- Experience and knowledge of electronic diagnostics.
- Proven experience as an MOT Tester is preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience using power tools and hand tools
- Excellent attention to detail with strong problem-solving skills
- Ideally a minimum of level three qualified.
- Full driving licence.
- Good communication skills.
Pay: £35,000.00-£48,000.00 per year
