Inter Academy Sydney, the official representative of FC Internazionale Milano (Inter Milan) in Australia, is seeking an enthusiastic and qualified Youth Football Coach to join its expanding football program in Sydney.
The academy delivers football development based on the Inter Milan methodology and philosophy, providing young Australian players with the opportunity to experience the technical, tactical and educational approach of one of Italy's most successful football clubs.
THE OPPORTUNITY
Inter Academy Sydney is currently expanding its operations and is developing a number of new programs across Sydney, including:
- Youth Academy – competitive football programs for players approximately 11–14 years of age
- Evening Academy – additional after-school and evening training programs
- Primary School Football Program – football programs delivered to primary school students across Sydney
- Preschool Football Program – Piccoli Campioni – introductory football for children approximately 3–6 years of age
The successful applicant will initially be responsible for coaching two youth teams aged approximately 11–14 years, 3:30pm-5pm weekdays with the potential to take on additional responsibilities as the academy expands.
This position represents an excellent opportunity for a young and ambitious coach to gain international coaching experience in Australia while working within the football methodology of Inter Milan.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
The successful candidate should have:
- A UEFA C or UEFA B coaching licence, or an equivalent recognised coaching qualification from the FA
- Several years' experience coaching young players with a professional, semi-professional or established amateur football club or hih level academy
- Experience working with players approximately 11–14 years of age
- A good level of spoken English with ability to prepare sessions on computer (Inter uses youcoach
- A genuine passion for developing young footballers
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills appropriate for young players
- A professional attitude and strong work ethic
- A commitment to the development philosophy and values of Inter Academy Sydney
Experience working within a professional football academy or school football environment will be highly regarded.
Applicants must have valid Australian work rights that allow them to undertake the proposed employment.
Suitable candidates may include Australian citizens, permanent residents and overseas applicants who already hold an appropriate visa with work rights.
For younger overseas applicants, the Working Holiday Maker program may be one possible pathway. Other visa pathways may potentially be available depending on the applicant's qualifications, nationality, circumstances and the nature and duration of the proposed employment.
Inter Academy Sydney does not guarantee visa approval. Applicants are responsible for ensuring that they hold, or can obtain, an appropriate visa with work rights before commencing employment.
Preferred commencement: September 2026 or as soon as possible thereafter.
The preferred candidate will be available to commit to a minimum of 12 months, with the possibility of extending the position depending on performance, program development and mutual agreement.

ADDITIONAL EARNING OPPORTUNITIES
One of the major advantages of this position is the potential to combine the academy role with additional employment. Private sessions and evening academy are just two options.
School teaching
A coach with a recognised teaching qualification may be eligible to work as a casual relief teacher, subject to the relevant Australian and NSW accreditation and employment requirements.
Current NSW Department of Education published casual teaching rates range from approximately AUD $466 to $582 per day, depending on accreditation and experience. ()
