MSK Physiotherapist – Maternity Cover
Physiocare & Sports Injury Clinic, Ryde, Isle of Wight
Salary: £32,000–£34,000 (pro-rata) 2 days per week
Hours: 2 days per week initially, increasing to 5 days per week (37.5 hours- full-time) within 3 months for the remainder of the Maternity cover period of 9 months.

Physiocare & Sports Injury Clinic is a well-established private physiotherapy practice in Ryde, providing high-quality musculoskeletal and sports injury care to our local community. We're looking for an experienced MSK Physiotherapist to join our team on a maternity cover basis, starting part-time with a planned increase to full-time hours throughout the remainder of the maternity period.
Job Description:
You'll provide high-quality assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for patients with musculoskeletal and sports-related injuries. You'll manage your own caseload, working autonomously while remaining part of a small, supportive clinical team.
You'll start on 2 days per week, with hours increasing progressively to reach 5 days per week (full-time) by the 3-month mark.
● Conducting thorough subjective and objective assessments to reach an accurate clinical diagnosis
● Designing and delivering individualised treatment and rehabilitation programmes
● Using manual therapy, exercise prescription, and rehabilitation techniques appropriate to each patient's needs
● Monitoring patient progress and adjusting treatment plans accordingly
● Maintaining clear, accurate, and up-to-date clinical records via TM3 practice management software
● Liaising with GPs, consultants, and other healthcare professionals, including writing referral letters
● Ensuring all care is delivered in line with HCPC standards and CSP guidance
● Contributing to the smooth day-to-day running of the clinic and a positive patient experience
● Participating in promotional events and marketing duties to help promote the clinic's services
What We're Looking For:
● HCPC registered
● Member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP)
● Minimum of 3 years' post-qualification experience
● Private practice experience essential
● Strong clinical assessment and treatment skills across MSK and sports injury presentations
● A genuine can-do attitude, with a proactive, solutions-focused approach to work
● Flexible approach to hours and duties, given the planned step-up from 2 to 5 days per week
● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a warm, patient-focused manner
● Self-motivated and comfortable working autonomously as well as part of a team
● Reliable, organised, and conscientious with clinical record-keeping and time management
This role is subject to an Enhanced DBS check, fully funded by the company.
