The City of Doncaster Council is a confident, ambitious organisation which puts improving the life of its residents at the centre of everything we do. You have an opportunity to be part of this in the role of Clerk of Works -Highways Asset Maintenance
This exiting role sits within the Highway Asset Maintenance team, which is a small hardworking team responsible for commissioning and managing the council’s capital highway maintenance programmes. The team follow a strong highway asset management approach and develop programmes for a range of preventative surface treatments alongside more conventional structural resurfacing methods.
We are looking for a motivated and skilled individual to join our team as a Clerk of Works, playing an important and hands‑on role in delivering the council’s preventative surface treatment programmes.
This is a varied and rewarding position where no two days are the same. You’ll be involved from the very start of the process right through to final delivery, taking ownership of:

Site selection and preparation
- Project planning and coordination
- On-site contractor monitoring
- Ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard
As a key member of the team, you will help us improve and protect the condition of the network, ensuring our roads remain safe and reliable for residents, businesses, and visitors.
