Start Date: FlexibleFull Job DescriptionWe are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Periodontist to join our established mixed NHS and Private practice, Abacus Dental & Implant Clinic, in Milton Keynes.This is an exciting opportunity to develop an in-house periodontal referral service within a busy, well-established practice.We are initially looking for a Periodontist to attend one day per month, with the opportunity to increase the frequency as the referral service grows.We already have several patients who have historically needed to be referred externally for periodontal assessment and treatment, creating an immediate opportunity for an experienced clinician to establish and develop a regular referral list within the practice.What We Offer

- Opportunity to work collaboratively with our existing dentists and hygienists to provide a comprehensive periodontal service
The Opportunity
We are keen to develop a strong multidisciplinary referral pathway within the practice and would welcome a Periodontist who is interested in building a long-term relationship with the practice.The successful candidate will have the opportunity to receive referrals from our existing clinicians, assess and treat periodontal cases, and work closely with our two on-site hygienists to provide ongoing periodontal maintenance and patient care.As awareness of the service grows within the practice, there is significant potential to increase the number of sessions available.About YouThe ideal candidate will:
- Be GDC registered
- Have appropriate specialist periodontal qualifications/experience
- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Be confident managing periodontal cases across a range of complexity
- Have a patient-focused approach and commitment to high-quality clinical care
- Enjoy working collaboratively with dentists, hygienists and the wider practice team
- Be interested in developing an ongoing referral service within a supportive private practice environment
