Are you an experienced and compassionate Deputy Manager looking to be supported into your first registration? Do you take pride in your ability to provide high-quality, trauma-informed care?
We are seeking an experienced Children’s Therapeutic Deputy Manager who is looking to join a well established organisation to develop their skills into the role of Registered Manager under the supervision and direction of a highly experienced Responsible Individual.
Initially, your role will be to oversee and maintain two settled, small, “Good” homes alongside the Responsible Individual. In 6 to 8 months there is then the opportunity for you to progress into holding a registration of your own along with the expansion of the business.
Located on the residential outskirts of Derby the two warm and welcoming children’s homes each have 2 settled children. This company is modelled to support a breakdown of Foster Care and to prevent children from needing to enter into Residential Care. The goal is to support the children long enough for them to be reintegrated into fostering. Placements can be as short as 3 months or years if this is what the child needs. Ages range from 4-16 years old to support early intervention. The children are supported with Autism, Learning disabilities and some experience of trauma so a compassionate and trauma-informed therapeutic approach is used. The new home will follow the same model with 2 children.
For this position of Children’s Therapeutic Trainee Manager you must be confident in your abilities to deliver excellent quality of care to the young people and have the ability to lead a well established team. An excellent understanding of The Children’s Homes Regulations, Quality Standards, SCCIF, The Children’s Act and other relevant legislation is essential. Experience of Ofsted and Reg 44 visit would also be advantageous.
