We are seeking a skilled and passionate Grill Chef to join our culinary team. Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of grilled dishes according to recipes and customer specifications
- Ensure all food is cooked to the correct temperature and presented attractively
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the grill station in compliance with food safety regulations
- Assist with meal preparation, including marinating, seasoning, and portioning ingredients
- Monitor stock levels of ingredients and notify management when supplies need replenishing
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders
- Follow health and safety procedures diligently, including proper handling of food and equipment
- Contribute to maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for guests through professional service
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation and cooking, particularly grilling techniques
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
- Previous grill restaurant experience and excellent knowledge of steak cuts
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a busy environment
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in meal presentation
- Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
- Knowledge of culinary techniques related to grilling, marinating, and seasoning meals
