Job Summary
We’re working with a well-established national membership organisation looking for an experienced Events Specialist to take sole ownership of their UK-wide events programme.
This is a hands-on, creative role where you’ll plan, organise, and deliver a variety of events - from small member meetups to large-scale exhibitions and shows.

Duties:
Event planning & delivery
- Own and deliver a full UK-wide events calendar
- Plan and run both internal events and external exhibitions
- Create engaging experiences for members (from meetups to multi-day events)
Logistics & operations
- Manage event setup, transport, equipment, and storage
- Handle stock, merchandise, and on-site sales
- Ensure smooth delivery from planning through to breakdown
Marketing & communication
- Support promotion of events across web, email, and social media
- Keep event listings and content up to date
- Respond to enquiries and engage with members online
Stakeholder & team coordination
- Work with internal teams, partners, and sponsors
- Support regional groups with their local events
- Recruit, lead, and coordinate volunteer teams
Commercial & admin
- Manage budgets and track event performance
- Oversee ticketing and booking systems
- Produce post-event reports and insights
Compliance & standards
- Ensure all events meet health & safety and legal requirements
- Maintain equipment records and safe working practices
Experience
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in event management
- Strong organisational and project management skills
- Confident communicator (written and verbal)
- Comfortable managing multiple events and deadlines
- Hands-on approach (including physical setup at events)
- Good IT skills (CRM systems, ticketing platforms, CMS)
- Experience with social media or event promotion is a bonus
Requirements
- Full UK driving licence
- Willingness to travel across the UK
- Flexible to attend events on some weekends
- Physically fit due to loading of exhibition equipment
