Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Event Emergency Care Assistant to provide immediate medical support during large-scale events. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care, ensuring safety protocols are followed, and assisting with emergency response procedures. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a background in healthcare or emergency services to apply their skills in a dynamic environment. All positions are adhoc and self employed.
Duties
- Respond promptly to medical emergencies at event sites, providing first aid and critical care as needed
- Conduct physical examinations and assess patient conditions using established triage protocols
- Administer injections and medications following aseptic techniques and medical guidelines
- Monitor vital signs and perform basic life support (BLS) procedures in accordance with training
- Maintain detailed documentation of patient interactions, treatments administered, and observations
- Assist with patient transfer using appropriate lifting techniques, including heavy lifting when necessary
- Support the medical team by preparing equipment, maintaining sterile environments, and ensuring readiness of supplies
- Drive emergency response vehicles if required, adhering to all safety regulations and traffic laws
- Collaborate with event organisers, security personnel, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless emergency response operations
- Frec 4 and Blue Lights
Experience
- Proven experience in critical care settings such as hospitals or ambulance services is highly desirable
- Prior exposure to triage, patient care, and medical terminology is essential
- Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medication administration enhances effectiveness in this role
- Experience with injection administration, physical examinations, and aseptic technique is preferred
- Demonstrated ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during emergency situations
- Valid driving licence is required for roles involving transportation of patients or equipment
- Candidates should possess excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to remain calm under pressure
