Hub /Depot Manager
Responsible To: Operations Director
Depot Location: Halstead
Hours: 08.00 – 17.30, Monday – Friday.
As with all roles at CRH Plant, reasonable flexibility is a requirement of the role.
Role Profile
The Depot Manager position will be responsible for the day to day running of the depot. Organising transport, managing a team of people including plant maintenance fitters and transport delivery drivers.
Responsibilities:
· Oversee daily depot operations to ensure efficiency and effectiveness
· Maintaining company standards to ISO accreditations as per procedural manuals
· Ensuring workshop administration work is completed, signed off and filed in a timely manner
· Ensuring safe working practices are maintained at all times
· Processing customer damage/loss notifications
· Procurement of parts
· Effective cost control in line with budgetary targets.
· Co-ordinating a team of maintenance fitters to ensure assets are maintained as per our internal procedures.
· Ensuring servicing and preventative maintenance of plant assets is conducted in line with Company procedures.
· Ensuring transport operation remains safe, compliant and efficient.
· Conducting regular in-house checks to ensure compliance to procedures.
· Assist in recruitment process and continuing team performance.
Role Requirements:
- Good communicator
- Highly motivated and can work from own initiative
- Highly organised
- Driven to take ownership of the depot activities and to achieve targets
- Previous leadership / managerial experience within an plant hire environment desirable
- Flexibility to work with other members of staff including apprentices
- Computer literate with a working knowledge of MS Office
- Full UK driving licence
