Job Summary
Join our Classic Car Restoration Company as a Paint Sprayer/Prepper, where you'll play a vital role in preparing surfaces and applying high-quality paint finishes to a variety of Modern & classics cars. This position offers the opportunity to work within a small dedicated team ensuring that each project meets our high standards. You should be an expert in surface preparation, filling, blocking, sanding & all painting techniques using old & new school materials & methods.
Also the final polish techniques required for flawless paint. You must be have your own tools.
This position is perfect for someone eager to develop their skills in the classic car industry, painting, and finishing processes while working safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, masking, and priming to ensure optimal paint adhesion and finish quality
- Operate spray guns, brushes, rollers, and other hand tools to apply paint or coatings accurately and evenly
- Use power tools and welding equipment as needed for surface prep or assembly tasks
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools, disposing of waste properly, and adhering to safety protocols
- Assist with fabrication and assembly tasks related to project components when required
- Follow detailed instructions and specifications to ensure precise color matching and coating thicknesses
- Conduct quality checks on finished surfaces, making adjustments or touch-ups as necessary to meet project standards
Skills
- Strong Paint & Prep knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot issues quickly
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and welding techniques for surface preparation and assembly
- Experience with fabrication processes in conjunction with painting methods
