Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to provide high-quality care to individuals in our Semi-Independent homes based in Stevenage. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting clients with their daily needs, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our young people.
Duties
- Provide advice and guidance for our young people, support with developing their own independent skills, promoting their attendance at education
- Maintain accurate records of care provided
- Updating care plans and other relevant documents for our young people
- Support young people with activities of daily living to promote independence
- Drive clients to appointments or outings as required (where applicable)
- Ensuring that the care provided is in line with regulatory requirements
Requirements
- Experience in working with children and young people is highly desirable
- Knowledge of Semi-Independent Regulations and Ofsted requirements
- Certification or experience in first aid and medication administration preferred
- Strong caregiving skills with a compassionate approach towards individual needs
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage challenging behaviours effectively
- Valid driving licence for transporting young people when necessary
- Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings and weekends if required
- Ability to complete sleep in duties. Shift times are 12pm-10pm, sleep in 10pm to 7am and then 7am-12pm.

Pay: £26,000.00-£28,000.00 per year
