The role (Client Onboarding Team Apprenticeship)
This apprenticeship is ideal for someone who enjoys speaking to people, staying organised, and helping new clients get set up smoothly. You’ll sit within our Client Onboarding Team, supporting the process from “new client signed” through to a confident, clean handover into day-to-day servicing.
You’ll be one of the first friendly faces and voices clients interact with, making sure they feel welcomed, informed, and guided through what happens next.
What you’ll be doing (day to day)
- Welcoming new clients and guiding them through the onboarding steps (what we need, why we need it, and when)
- Answering inbound calls and emails related to onboarding and handling common setup questions
- Chasing and organising onboarding information (forms, ID checks, key documents, access requests) so progress doesn’t stall
- Logging onboarding requests accurately and routing queries to the right person/team when needed
- Keeping client details, notes, and onboarding status tidy and up to date in our systems
- Booking onboarding calls, coordinating diaries, and supporting appointment scheduling
- Creating and maintaining onboarding documents and templates (welcome emails, checklists, handover notes)
- Supporting the team with general admin, including scanning/filing and document management
- Learning how our services work, so you can set expectations clearly and signpost clients confidently
- Working towards your apprenticeship qualification with structured training and feedback
What we’re looking for
- Friendly, professional communication (in person, on the phone, and in writing)
- Comfortable using a computer (email, calendars, basic Word/Excel)
- Organised, reliable, and able to follow through on tasks
- Calm under pressure, able to handle multiple onboarding queries without getting flustered
- Someone who enjoys helping people and being part of a team
- Eager to learn, take feedback on board, and improve quickly
