Overview
Due to our continual growth an opportunity has arisen for a new member of our manufacturing team. The position is for a Door Manufacturer, qualifications preferred would be NVQ Level 2 Joinery, Fabrication, Engineering (or similar). Experience in the manufacture of Coldstore Doors would be an advantage but is not necessary. This role involves manufacturing high-quality doors for the Food Industry. The successful candidate will possess a strong understanding of mechanical processes and be comfortable working with various hand and power tools.

Duties
- To accurately interpret manufacturing/engineering drawings, including measuring and setting out of doors. Assemble door components accurately according to specifications and drawings
- Ability to use typical machinery associated with metalwork/wood fabrication, saws, guillotines, folder and hand tools safely and efficiently during the assembly process
- Perform precise cutting, shaping, and finishing of materials
- To be able to work under your own initiative and as part of a team.
- Utilise mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot assembly issues and suggest improvements
- Maintain a clean, organised workspace to promote safety and efficiency
- Assist with lifting, moving, and loading of doors
- Follow health and safety protocols at all times during production activities
- Supply own hand tools and battery tools
Qualifications / Experience
- NVQ Level 2 Joinery or similar i.e., Metal Work / Engineering
- Proven experience in fabrication, carpentry, or joinery roles preferably within a manufacturing environment
- Experience in the manufacture of Cold Room Doors or Steel Doors would be advantageous but not essential
- Experience with power tools, woodworking and metal work machinery
- Ability to interpret technical drawings or specifications
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
- Good physical fitness, capable of standing for extended periods and lifting moderate loads as required
- A clean driving licence would be useful but is not essential

Dependent on age and experience
Basic Hours
40 Hours
Pay: £28,080.00-£31,200.00 per year
