Are you passionate about supporting young adults with SEND to build confidence, independence and wellbeing? Due to the growth of our day service offer, Willow Green Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) is seeking a Support Assistant to work to support our Education Learners aged 16-25. Support Assistants are primarily responsible for learner safety, health and wellbeing. Our service provides structured, person-centred support to young adults from within Warrington.
You will support the effective running of your service area and assist with the delivery and assessment of programmes for learners with additional needs. This will include supporting learners in assessing, functional skills and daily living tasks as well as those preparing for, and developing, work readiness skills. Under the direction of the teacher, you will support the delivery of activities for a wide range of special educational needs and/or disabilities, including preparing adapted resources and providing targeted one-to-one support, where necessary.
Your observations, assessment, feedback and contribution to session delivery will inform termly and annual progress decisions. You will actively support learner outcomes linked to the Preparation for Adulthood framework and Education Health and Care Plans. You will also be confident and competent in using assessment recording systems such as Evidence for Learning
