About the Role: London is world-renowned for its uncompromising standards in trade and food culture, and at AgroFood & Fish International Ltd., we apply that exact same dedication to quality control. We supply top-tier produce and seafood across the UK, ensuring that safety, freshness, and regulatory compliance are never compromised. We believe that food safety doesn't have to be a bureaucratic roadblock—it is the foundation of excellence. We are looking for a Food Safety & QA/QC Inspector who can take ownership of our quality standards on the ground. You aren't just filling out checklists; you are safeguarding our reputation, verifying compliance, and driving continuous improvement across our supply chain. You are the champion of quality in a room full of operations and logistics teams.
Why Work With Us?
- The Environment: Our London facility is a modern, high-volume operational hub designed for safety and efficiency. We value a workspace built on teamwork, clear standards, and strong operational support.
- Quality Maturity: We don't need you to convince us that food safety matters. We know it does. You will have full backing from leadership to enforce safety protocols and halt non-compliant lines from Day 1.
- Modern Equipment: We utilize top-tier testing tools, automated temperature monitoring systems, and modern compliance tracking software so you can audit efficiently.
- Growth: We invest in your career with paid training and budget for recognized industry certifications (such as Advanced HACCP or Level 4 Food Safety) to keep your credentials top-tier.
Key Responsibilities:
- Quality Standard Ownership: Execute daily QA/QC inspections across raw material receiving, processing, cold storage, and final distribution.
- End-to-End Compliance: Monitor and enforce HACCP, GMP, BRCGS, and local UK food safety regulations from intake to dispatch.
- Root-Cause Analysis: Investigate non-conformances, sensory anomalies, and temperature deviations. Provide actionable recommendations that elevate line performance.
- Audit Leadership: Conduct internal sanitation audits, environmental sampling, and hygiene checks. Assist in third-party and regulatory audits.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Communicate findings clearly to production teams and suppliers. You can explain why a process change is necessary, not just that a rule was broken.
What We Are Looking For:
- Experience: 1–3 years in Quality Assurance or Quality Control within food manufacturing, fresh produce, or seafood processing.
- Portfolio/Track Record: A proven track record of auditing and compliance is non-negotiable. Show us how you improved safety compliance, managed incidents, or passed audits.
- Certifications: Level 2 or Level 3 Award in Food Safety in Manufacturing/Catering, plus a practical understanding of HACCP principles.
- Skills: High attention to detail and strong communication skills. You are comfortable working on-site in temperature-controlled (chilled) environments.
- Mindset: You are pragmatic. You know how to maintain strict safety standards without unnecessarily stalling smooth daily operations.
Pay: £32,000.00-£38,000.00 per year
