The Role: As Nursery Manager, you will be at the heart of our nursery. You’ll have the opportunity to lead a passionate team, empower them through training, and ensure the quality of provision remains high. We believe in freeing up our nursery managers from unnecessary admin, so you can concentrate on what you do best.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the smooth running of the nursery on a day-to-day basis.
- Welcome new team members and children, and provide continued development support.
- Manage and coach a team of 15 dedicated Early Years practitioners.
- Plan staffing rotas and manage educational resources and supplies.
- Ensure high-quality observations and learning journals for all children.
- Conduct regular risk assessments to maintain a safe and supportive environment.
- Plan and coordinate internal and external training programs for the team.
- Conduct performance appraisals and provide constructive feedback.
- Plan termly educational activities and events, and implement the curriculum weekly.
- Build strong relationships with parents and engage with them through regular communication.
- Manage parent events and provide opportunities for parents to work collaboratively with the nursery.
- Support room leaders in developing their skills and initiatives.
- Be a positive role model for your team, inspiring them to be their best self!
What We’re Looking For:
- Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 or above in Early Years Education.
- Experience: At least 2 years of experience as a Manager in Early Years education.
- Desirable: Management qualification, B.A. or higher in Early Years Education, Safeguarding and Prevent training, strong computer literacy.
- Must-Haves: Great organisational skills, a can-do attitude, positive energy, a passion for children’s development, and a smile that can light up a room.
