We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Family Law Solicitor. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in family law, providing expert legal advice and representation to clients in matters such as divorce, child custody, and financial settlements. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to manage multiple cases effectively while maintaining a high level of client care.
Responsibilities
- Provide legal advice and representation to clients in family law matters, including divorce, child custody, and financial disputes.
- Prepare and draft legal documents such as petitions, affidavits, and court submissions.
- Conduct negotiations on behalf of clients to reach amicable settlements where possible.
- Represent clients in court hearings and other legal proceedings.
- Maintain accurate records of case progress and client communications.
- Stay updated on changes in family law legislation and best practices.
- Collaborate with other professionals, including social workers and financial advisors, to support clients' needs.
Skills
- Strong IT skills for managing case files and documentation efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to convey complex legal information clearly to clients.
- Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
- A compassionate approach towards clients facing challenging personal circumstances.
- Attention to detail in preparing legal documents and conducting case research.
