Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head Chef / Second Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the kitchen team, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality food production
- Oversee all aspects of food preparation, cooking, and presentation to meet established standards
- Manage daily kitchen operations, including inventory control, ordering supplies, and maintaining cleanliness
- Develop innovative menus in collaboration with management, incorporating current culinary trends
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and uphold hygiene standards at all times
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff to enhance skills and promote a cohesive team environment
- Monitor portion control and minimise waste to optimise operational efficiency
- Assist in serving guests when required, ensuring excellent customer service and satisfaction

Requirements
- Proven supervisory experience within a busy restaurant or hospitality setting
- Extensive culinary experience with strong skills in food preparation and cooking techniques
- Demonstrated leadership abilities with excellent team management skills
- Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations
- Experience in menu development and food presentation
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask under pressure
- Excellent communication skills to effectively coordinate with staff and management
