Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mentor to support the developmental and educational needs of children in our organisation. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, experience in early childhood education, and a passion for nurturing young minds. The Mentor will work closely with children across various age groups, including toddlers and preschoolers, utilising specialised techniques such as applied behaviour analysis and behaviour management strategies.
Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one mentoring to children, supporting their educational and behavioural development.
- Assist with early childhood education activities, including teaching basic skills in maths, speech therapy exercises, and physical education.
- Implement behaviour management plans to promote positive conduct and social skills.
- Support children with special educational needs by adapting activities and providing personalised tutoring.
- Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other professionals to develop tailored learning plans.
- Monitor progress and provide regular feedback on developmental milestones.
- Engage children in age-appropriate activities that promote physical, emotional, and social growth.
- Maintain a safe, nurturing environment that encourages learning and exploration.
- Proofread educational materials and assist with programme planning to ensure clarity and effectiveness.
Qualifications
- Experience or background in early childhood education or childcare settings.
- Knowledge of speech therapy techniques, applied behaviour analysis, and special education practices.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to connect effectively with children and their families.
- Proven ability in behaviour management and mentoring young learners.
- Familiarity with teaching physical education or tutoring methods is desirable.
- Previous experience working with children in preschool or toddler care environments is preferred.
- Organisation skills for maintaining records of progress and preparing educational materials.

Pay: £24,000.00-£26,000.00 per year
