Duties
- Deliver professional grooming services tailored to each pet’s breed, size, and individual needs, including bathing, trimming, styling, and finishing touches
- Assess each animal’s health and behavior to ensure safe handling and grooming procedures
- Maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness in your grooming station and tools
- Communicate effectively with pet owners about grooming requirements, aftercare advice, and any health concerns observed during the appointment
- Manage appointments efficiently to maximize client satisfaction and salon workflow
- Handle heavy lifting when necessary for bathing or moving larger animals safely
- Uphold animal care standards by monitoring pets throughout the grooming process and responding promptly to any signs of distress or discomfort
Experience
- Proven experience as a professional groomer with a strong portfolio of completed grooming jobs
- Knowledge of veterinary practices or experience working alongside veterinary professionals is highly desirable
- Familiarity with animal care protocols and handling techniques for different breeds and sizes
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build lasting relationships with clients
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when required for larger animals or equipment
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently within a team environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality grooming results
