Vision for Education are currently recruiting for a full-time KS1 Teaching Assistant to work in a welcoming primary school based in the Shrewsbury area. This role will start from the Autumn Term 2026 and will run for the first half term, supporting the class teacher and pupils as a Classroom Support Assistant.
The successful candidate will play an important role in supporting teaching and learning within the classroom, working closely with the class teacher and helping pupils to engage positively with their learning and development.

- Working full-time as a Classroom Support Assistant within a KS1 classroom
- Supporting the class teacher with the delivery of engaging lessons and activities
- Working with individual pupils and small groups to support their learning and development
- Providing classroom and learning support to pupils throughout the school day
- Helping to create a positive, inclusive and nurturing classroom environment
- Supporting pupils with their social, emotional and academic development
- Working closely with other members of staff to ensure pupils receive appropriate support
- Working throughout the first half term of the Autumn Term 2026

Requirements:
To be considered for this KS1 Teaching Assistant position, you will:
- Hold a minimum Level 2 qualification in Teaching Assistant work or Childcare
- Have previous experience working with primary-aged children or within a childcare setting
- Have a patient, caring and nurturing approach
- Be confident supporting pupils within a classroom environment
- Have strong communication and teamwork skills
- Be able to commit to a full-time role for the first half term of the Autumn Term 2026
- Be able to provide two recent and relevant references
- Have, or be willing to obtain, an Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service
