Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Area Cleaning Manager to oversee cleaning operations across multiple sites. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, proven supervisory experience, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety. Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily cleaning activities across designated areas, ensuring adherence to organisational standards and safety protocols.
- Lead, motivate, and develop cleaning staff to optimise performance and foster a positive work environment.
- Develop and implement efficient cleaning schedules, workflows, and procedures to maximise productivity.
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities to ensure cleanliness, safety, and compliance with health regulations.
- Manage inventory levels of cleaning supplies and equipment, placing orders as necessary to prevent shortages.
- Provide training programmes for new staff and ongoing development for existing team members in cleaning techniques and safety procedures.
- Address any operational issues promptly, escalating concerns as needed to senior management.
- Maintain accurate records of staff attendance, training, and performance evaluations.
Requirements
- Proven supervisory or management experience within the cleaning or facilities management sector.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and foster a collaborative working environment.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Good communication skills, capable of liaising with staff at all levels as well as external contractors or suppliers.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to cleaning operations.
- A proactive attitude with problem-solving capabilities and attention to detail.
- Flexibility to adapt schedules according to operational needs; availability for occasional out-of-hours work if required.
