The Plough Inn, Longparish (SP11 6PE), is an established and award-winning Community owned country pub. We are growing and are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Senior Sous Chef or Sous Chef to join our creative and dedicated team to meet increased demand. Working with our excellent Head Chef, using quality ingredients cooked from scratch there is real creative scope for the successful candidate who will also be mentoring junior staff and contributing to menu development.

What we're looking for
- Proven experience at senior sous or sous chef level in a quality gastropub, brasserie or similar environment
- Calm under pressure, collaborative and able to maintain standards and pace in a busy fast-paced kitchen
- A natural mentor — genuinely invested in developing staff
- Working knowledge of the management of food safety and hygiene standards and with business awareness within a kitchen environment (e.g. GP, menu creation, ordering, rotas)
- A team player who enjoys working hard
Generous tips are shared amongst all staff.
There is the option to live in.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £36,000.00-£38,000.00 per year
