We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Manager to join our hospitality team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, extensive restaurant and kitchen experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional service. Responsibilities
- Assist the Manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring smooth service delivery
- Supervise and motivate team members, including front-of-house and kitchen staff
- Coordinate food preparation and cooking processes to maintain quality standards
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards
- Manage food production, including overseeing portion control and presentation
- Support staff training programmes, including serving techniques and hospitality best practices
- Handle customer enquiries and resolve any issues promptly to ensure satisfaction
- Assist in organising staff schedules, inventory management, and stock control
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment in accordance with health regulations
- Contribute to menu planning and development initiatives in collaboration with culinary staff
Qualifications
- Proven supervising experience within a restaurant or hospitality setting
- Strong team management skills with the ability to lead by example
- Extensive restaurant experience, including food preparation, cooking, and serving roles
- Knowledge of food safety standards and food production processes
- Previous kitchen or hotel experience is highly desirable
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively
- Leadership qualities with a proactive approach to problem-solving
- Experience in hospitality or barista roles is advantageous but not essential
- A genuine passion for delivering outstanding customer service and fostering a positive team environment
