Position: Stairlift/Maintenance Engineer
Hours: 9:00am - 5:00pm (Mon-Fri) with on-call hours on rota basis
Type: Permanent, Full-time
Salary: £30k pa basic rising to £34k, plus bonus up to £45k pa

The role of Stairlift & Maintenance Engineer has become available in our Leeds store, based Stanningley Road, Armley. Initially this will be a dual role:
Stairlifts:
You will be responsible for customer quotes, surveys, installations, testing, upgrading, removing, repairing and maintaining straight and curved stairlifts. This is a hands-on role and you will be processing stock and deliveries received, therefore, the ability to lift and handle heavy items is essential. You will be instrumental in the success and growth of the stairlift business. Stairlift experience or a mechanical/electrical background would be an advantage but not essential as full training will be provided. The successful candidate will have a positive, can-do attitude and a desire to contribute, learn and grow within the business.
Maintenance:
The successful candidate will repair, service and maintain mobility equipment including scooters, wheelchairs, powerchairs and riser/recliner chairs for our customers. The role will include the collection and return of mobility equipment as well as onsite repairs and maintenance at our customers’ homes, where you will interact with our customers and help them maintain independent living, which will give the right candidate tremendous job satisfaction.
Duties will include:
● Offering a full customer service experience - quote, survey, install, service, repair
● Visiting customers in their home to provide advice, assessments and quotes
● Installation of standard and bespoke stairlifts
● Attending customer call-outs for repair and servicing of products
● Checking deliveries and good maintenance of stock
● Providing an out-of-hours call out service on a rota basis
● Checking, repairing and servicing products in the workshop and onsite
● Completing electronic checklists of work carried out
● Liaising with customers about repairs, servicing etc.
● Reflecting work carried out on our user-friendly till system
● Maintaining all tools, spares and equipment within a safe working environment
● Keeping the work area in a clean and tidy condition
● Supporting the store on deliveries, collections and general duties when required
Skills and Experience:
● Can-do attitude - motivated, flexible and enthusiastic

● IT literacy and a willingness to learn new technology

● High-quality standards and workmanship
A full driving licence is essential for this role. A DBS disclosure will be required (for which Ableworld will meet the cost)
