We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Motor Mechanic to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of motor vehicles and equipment. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles and machinery to identify faults or issues.
- Repair and maintain engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, and other vehicle systems using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Interpret technical diagrams, schematics, and manuals to facilitate accurate repairs.
- Utilise hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to carry out assembly, repairs, and maintenance tasks.
- Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, tyre rotations, and fluid replacements to ensure optimal vehicle performance.
- Assist with the assembly of new equipment or vehicle components as required.
- Engage in heavy lifting tasks safely when handling parts or machinery during repairs or maintenance procedures.
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repair work clearly and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Maintain a clean and organised workshop environment in compliance with safety standards.
- Troubleshoot complex mechanical issues efficiently to minimise downtime.
Skills
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems and components.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical schematics and diagrams.
- Experience with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and assembly processes.
- Knowledge of vehicle or machinery maintenance procedures.
