Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Removals Driver to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely transporting customers’ belongings and furniture to new locations, ensuring a smooth and efficient moving experience. Your expertise in driving, heavy lifting, and excellent communication skills will be essential in providing outstanding service. Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles, including <PERSON> drivers, to transport goods and furniture between locations.
- Load and unload items with care, employing heavy lifting techniques to prevent damage and ensure safety.
- Plan routes effectively to meet delivery schedules while adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Communicate clearly with clients regarding delivery times, procedures, and any potential delays or issues.
- Assist with warehouse tasks such as inventory management, organizing supplies, and preparing items for transportation.
- Conduct vehicle inspections before and after trips to ensure safety standards are maintained.
- Maintain accurate documentation of deliveries, pickups, and mileage logs for compliance purposes.
Experience
- Proven delivery driver experience with a strong understanding of commercial driving practices.
- Prior experience as a <PERSON> driver or similar role involving transportation of goods or furniture.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and heavy lifting techniques is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with clients and team members.
- Ability to perform physical tasks requiring heavy lifting and manual handling safely.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; relevant certifications in commercial driving are advantageous.
