1. Introduction

- The Internship Programme aims at attracting talented students and graduates who have a specific interest in, or whose studies have covered, areas relevant to IOM programmes and activities. Interns must be between 20 and 36 years old and should have less than two years of relevant working experience.
In general, the Internship Programme aims at attracting talented students and graduates who:
- a) have a specific interest in, or whose studies have covered, areas relevant to IOM programmes and activities;
- b) are holding a scholarship for internship placements in international organizations and/or for whom internship is required to complete their studies; or
- c) are sponsored by governmental/non governmental institutions and/or academia to work in specific areas relevant to both IOM and the sponsor.
- d) are either enrolled in the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum Bachelor’s level or equivalent) or have graduated in the last 12 months.
- e) are between 20 and 36 years of age.
2. Responsibilities
Supervision
- The KVAC intern will be suprvised by the Team Leader and will be closely working with the Visa Support Assistants.
Core Functions / Responsibilities:
- Assist the KVAC team on daily activities, including but not limited to receive and sort visa applications delivered by post, passport, and document logistics, ordering visa application supporting documents according to relevant checklist
- Assist the KVAC team with communications to the beneficiaries, following the standard operating procedures in place, including contacting visa applicants for missing documents or for passport collection.
- Attend project meetings and training sessions with the project coordinator and other KVAC teams (Berlin, Paris, and Hague).
- Assist the KVAC team with the preparation of daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
- Undertake any other task that may be assigned.
3. Required Qualifications and Experience
Language
- For this internship fluent knowledge in spoken and written English is reuquired. Knowledge of Korean or other official IOM language is an advantage.
- Proficiency of language(s) required will be specifically evaluated during the selection process, which may include written and/or oral assessments.
Education
- Student or graduate; preferably in colleague of Humanities and Social Sciences or similar.
Experience
- Ability to work effectively and harmoniously in an international team.
- High level of computer literacy in standard MS Office products with specific proficiency in MS Excel.
- First experience with customer service and/or assistance to public

- Salary: GBP GBP 905 - GBP 1,244
- Recruitment: Full-time / contract worker 2-6 months
- Working hours: 37.5hrs/week
- Working Schedule: 8.30AM-5.30PM, Mon-Fri (1 hour Lunch break)
- Holidays: 30days / year
