Operations Assistant – Cleaning, Laundry and Client Services.
Location: East Wittering
Hours: 24 - 39 hours per week
About the Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic, energetic and highly organised Operations Assistant to support both our professional cleaning company and commercial laundry. This is a varied, fast paced role & hands-on where no two days are the same.
The successful candidate will take pride in maintaining exceptional property standards while also supporting the day-to-day running of the business, with a very hands on approach. This role combines mainly practical cleaning and Ironing duties with administration, Marketing, customer service, laundry operations and business support.
Key Responsibilities
Cleaning & Property Standards
- Clean residential properties to a high standard.
- Carry out property inspections to ensure our quality standards are consistently met.
- Identify maintenance issues and report them promptly.
- Ensure properties are guest-ready and presented to an exceptional standard.
- Support and oversee cleaning standards across the team.
- Support with client and Staff rotas, ensuring every client is covered
- Make sure time sheets are all correct.
Laundry Operations
- Deliver and collect laundry from clients.
- Iron garments and household linen to a high standard.
- Assist with sorting, processing and preparing customer laundry.
- Maintain a clean and organised laundry workspace.
- Use the laundry software program.
Administration & Office Support
- Monitor and respond to business emails professionally.
- Assist with day-to-day administration.
- Update records and use computer systems accurately.
- Help coordinate daily workloads and schedules.
Customer Service
- Build and maintain excellent relationships with clients.
- Communicate professionally with customers in person, by telephone and by email.
- Resolve minor customer queries confidently and efficiently.
Marketing & Business Support
- Assist with social media and marketing activities.
- Promote both businesses positively within the local community.
- Support new business opportunities and customer retention.
About You
The ideal candidate will:
- Previous cleaning or housekeeping experience in a high-end establishment.
- Hold a full UK driving licence.
- Be confident driving between properties and clients.
- Be physically fit and happy with a hands-on role.
- Be reliable, trustworthy and punctual.
- Be computer literate and confident using email and online systems.
- Have excellent organisational skills.
- Be able to prioritise and work independently.
- Have strong attention to detail.
- Take pride in producing high-quality work.
- Be friendly, professional and confident communicating with customers.
- Be flexible, willing to learn and happy to turn their hand to a variety of tasks.
- Work well as part of a team while also using their own initiative.
Desirable (but not essential)
- Previous customer service or office administration experience.
- Experience using Microsoft Office.
- Social media or marketing experience.

Pay: £13.50-£14.00 per hour
