Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our GP clinic.
Duties
- Help patients manage changes with their medication
- Support patients with using Libre Freestyle
- Assist patients with medication questions and provide guidance on proper usage
- Respond to and support local pharmacies
- Process prescriptions efficiently using EMIS
- Work as part of a multidisciplinary primary care team
- Provide excellent patient care by offering courteous service and information about medications
Requirements
- Prior experience as a Pharmacy Technician is highly desirable
- Prior experience of EMIS and AskMyGP is highly desirable
- Knowledge of medication administration procedures and protocols
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail to ensure accuracy in dispensing medications
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and healthcare staff
- Ability to work efficiently within a team environment while managing multiple tasks
- Certification or registration as a Pharmacy Technician (where applicable) is preferred
- Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to health and safety standards
Pay: From £14.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20.0 – 40.0 per week
