We are seeking professional HGV Class 1 Drivers specialised in container transportation to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of containers, ensuring compliance with all legal and safety regulations. This role offers an excellent opportunity for experienced drivers with a focus on commercial driving and delivery operations.
This is full-time, ongoing agency work with an immediate start available.

Responsibilities
- Safely operate HGV Class 1 lorries, primarily transporting containers to designated sites.
- Conduct pre-journey checks on vehicles to ensure roadworthiness and compliance with safety standards.
- Load and unload containers, ensuring secure fastening and adherence to weight limits.
- Plan routes effectively to optimise delivery schedules and minimise delays.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and vehicle maintenance logs.
- Comply with all Road Traffic Acts, tachograph regulations, and company policies during operations.
- Assist with any additional duties related to container handling as required by the company.
Qualifications
- Valid HGV Class 1 licence
- Port Cards for London Gateway. Others would be advantageous
- Strong understanding of road safety regulations and legal requirements for freight transport.
