Responsibilities
- Lead and motivate the café team to deliver outstanding service, ensuring each customer leaves satisfied and eager to return
- Oversee daily café operations, including opening and closing procedures, inventory management, and cleanliness standards
- Ensure compliance with all food safety regulations and health standards to maintain a safe environment for staff and customers
- Train new team members on proper coffee brewing techniques, food preparation, serving procedures, and safety protocols
- Manage workflow during busy periods by prioritizing tasks such as order taking, beverage preparation, and customer engagement
- Monitor stock levels of coffee beans, ingredients, and supplies; place orders as needed to prevent shortages
- Handle customer inquiries or complaints promptly with professionalism and a positive attitude
Skills
- Proven barista experience with strong knowledge of coffee brewing methods and beverage customization
- Demonstrated leadership skills with experience supervising or managing a team in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent understanding of food safety practices and health regulations applicable in foodservice settings
- Strong time management abilities to handle multiple tasks efficiently during peak hours
- Basic math skills for cash handling, order accuracy, and inventory tracking
- Ability to train staff effectively on food preparation techniques and service standards
