We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our hotel team. The successful candidate will play an important role in maintaining high standards of cleanliness, presentation, and guest comfort throughout the hotel. This includes guest bedrooms, bathrooms, corridors, reception areas, and public spaces.
Previous housekeeping or hotel cleaning experience is preferred; however, full training will be provided for the right applicant. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who takes pride in their work and enjoys contributing to a positive guest experience in a busy hospitality environment.
Responsibilities
- Clean and service guest bedrooms, bathrooms, and public areas to hotel standards.
- Change bed linen, replace towels, and replenish guest amenities as required.
- Vacuum, dust, polish, and sanitise all assigned areas thoroughly.
- Ensure all rooms are presented to a high standard prior to guest arrivals.
- Report maintenance issues, damages, or lost property to management promptly.
- Follow health and safety procedures and infection control guidelines at all times.
- Restock housekeeping trolleys and cleaning supplies efficiently.
- Support the wider hotel team where required to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
- Maintain a professional and friendly attitude when interacting with guests and colleagues.
- Ensure cleaning equipment is used safely and stored correctly after use.
Skills & Requirements
- Previous hotel housekeeping or cleaning experience is advantageous but not essential.
- Strong attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Good physical fitness and stamina to carry out housekeeping duties throughout the shift.
- Reliable, punctual, and professional in approach to work.
- Ability to work flexibly, including weekends and holidays where required.
- Positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team.
Pay: From £12.71 per hour
