We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Interim Head Chef to lead our culinary team. Duties
- Lead and supervise the kitchen team, ensuring smooth daily operations and high-quality food preparation
- Oversee all aspects of food production, from sourcing ingredients to final presentation
- Manage and coordinate food safety procedures in compliance with health regulations
- Develop and implement innovative menus in collaboration with management
- Ensure consistent quality and presentation of dishes served to guests
- Monitor stock levels, order supplies, and manage inventory efficiently
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, fostering a positive team environment
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area according to hygiene standards
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery
- Handle customer feedback professionally, addressing any concerns promptly
Skills
- Proven supervising experience within a professional kitchen or hospitality setting
- Extensive food production and culinary experience, with a strong background in food preparation and cooking
- Demonstrated team management capabilities with leadership qualities that motivate staff
- In-depth knowledge of food safety standards and regulations
- Previous restaurant or hospitality experience is highly desirable
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively under pressure
- Strong communication skills to liaise confidently with team members and management
