Kidspace is looking for a passionate, enthusiastic and organised Playwork Manager to lead one of our busy wraparound care settings.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working with children and is ready to take the next step in their career or already has management experience.
As Playwork Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the club, ensuring children receive high-quality care in a safe, fun and stimulating environment. You will lead and support your team, build positive relationships with children, parents and schools, and ensure the club operates in line with Kidspace policies, safeguarding requirements and Ofsted standards.
Locations & Hours (Term Time Only)
We are currently recruiting for the following Playwork Manager positions:
Sharnford
- Monday to Friday
- 7:30am–9:00am and 3:00pm–6:00pm

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the daily operation of the wraparound care provision.
- Create a safe, welcoming and engaging environment where children can play, learn and thrive.
- Plan and deliver a variety of fun, inclusive and age-appropriate activities.
- Lead, motivate and support your team to provide outstanding childcare.
- Ensure children's safety and wellbeing at all times.
- Build positive relationships with parents, carers, schools and colleagues.
- Complete registers, accident and incident records, medication records and other required documentation.
- Ensure the club complies with safeguarding, health and safety and Kidspace policies.
- Promote positive behaviour and encourage children to develop confidence, independence and friendships through play.
- Attend staff meetings and training as required.
- Support other Kidspace settings when required.
Skills & Experience
We're looking for someone who:
- Has experience working with children in a school, childcare, playwork, sports coaching or similar setting.
- Has leadership or supervisory experience, or is ready to step into a leadership role.
- Has excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Is enthusiastic, reliable and enjoys working as part of a team.
- Can remain calm and organised in a busy environment.
- Has a good understanding of safeguarding and child welfare (training will be provided if required).
- Holds a full UK driving licence and has access to a vehicle (desirable).
Qualifications
No specific qualification is required.
Relevant childcare, playwork or leadership qualifications are welcomed but not essential. Full induction and ongoing training will be provided, including mandatory safeguarding and compliance training.

Pay: £12.71-£13.25 per hour
