We are seeking an Administrative Assistant to join our Democratic Services team on a short-term basis, providing essential business support to Cabinet Members. This role is part of the Law, Assurance and Insight Directorate and involves delivering confidential and efficient administrative assistance. You will play a crucial role in managing schedules, correspondence, and daily tasks for Cabinet Members. This position demands strong organizational skills, discretion, and the ability to juggle multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

Deliver confidential administrative support to Cabinet Members.

Oversee complex scheduling, including diaries and meetings.

Handle correspondence and ensure prompt responses to inquiries.

Arrange meetings, prepare agendas, and manage related documents.

Communicate with councillors, senior officers, stakeholders, and external contacts.

Prioritize and manage incoming communications.

Maintain accurate records and filing systems.

Assist Democratic Services colleagues as needed.

Ensure deadlines are met and tasks are completed efficiently.

Perform general business support and administrative tasks.
Requirements:

Proven experience in administration and business support.

Exceptional organizational and diary management capabilities.

Ability to handle multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.

Proficient in Microsoft Office and other IT applications.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.
