We are sourcing a HR Advisor on a full time, 6 months fixed term basis. Based at our facility in Bridge on Don, Aberdeen, the HR Advisor will report into the Senior HR Business Partner the main purpose of this role is to be the first point of contact to employees and line managers to provide advice, support, information and guidance on HR and employee relations issues, ensuring HR policies are followed, and any issues are escalated to the Senior HRBP in a timely manner.
Duties & Main Responsibilities
Provide advice, support, information and guidance to employees and managers on HR and employee relations issues, ensuring HR policies and management practices comply with regulatory requirements and mitigate legal exposure
Empower, coach, and enable Managers to take full responsibility for the leadership and management of their teams
Quickly respond to requests for help from employees and managers, coaching where possible such that repeat requests are avoided
Working with the Senior HRBP to manage the attraction, acquisition, development, and retention of all employees
Working with the Senior HRBP and HR specialist teams with the development and implementation of employee recruitment, development, reward, and retention programmes
Support roll out of group initiatives
Lead audit & visa requirement processes
Responsible for running the monthly pay flow files, ensuring all new start information and contractual and benefit changes are captured, before sending to Finance for processing
Provide HR support in confidential meetings including investigations, disciplinaries, absence, probation, and performance discussions
Monitor and manage sickness absence levels monthly, escalating if required any potential issues to the Senior HRBP
Responsible for administrating employee changes, ensuring APP and personnel files are up to date, and any changes are communicated to required parties e.g. Finance and benefits providers
Onboarding paperwork including offer letter, employment contract and completing any pre-employment screening requirements including right to work checks
Administration of benefit schemes and maintenance including ensuring accurate data is recorded in APP for all employees
Employee inductions and onboarding activities
Probationary outcomes
Amendment to terms and conditions
Absence management
Family Friendly matters including maternity and paternity leave
Leaver administration and conducting Exit-Interviews
Monitoring visa expiration dates and advising in a timely manner
Monthly data cleanse from APP
Drafting letters, reports, briefing notes, and presentation materials as required in support of the regional HR team
Annual HR activities and processes including Salary Review, Bonus Scheme, and renewal exercises
Working with line managers to ensure up to date job descriptions exist for all roles
Occasional travel to other Acteon worksites may be required
Required
Experience of working within a fast-paced HR Advisor role
Full UK Driving Licence
Experience of working in the Oil and Gas industry
HR Systems experience
Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management
Ideally CIPD qualified or part qualified
