Overview
We are seeking a professional HGV Class 2 Tipper Driver to join our night shift team. primarily during night hours, ensuring timely and safe delivery of materials. The ideal candidate will possess strong driving skills, experience in commercial driving, and familiarity with delivery operations. This position offers an excellent opportunity for experienced drivers looking to work night shifts in a dynamic environment.
Duties
- Safely operate a HGV Class 2 Tipper with tipping capabilities during night shifts.
- Conduct pre-journey safety inspections of the vehicle and equipment.
- Deliver construction materials and other goods to various sites in a timely manner.
- Ensure all deliveries are completed accurately and efficiently, adhering to schedules.
- Maintain accurate documentation of deliveries, including delivery notes and logs.
- Follow all health and safety regulations, including compliance with road traffic laws and company policies.
- Conduct routine vehicle checks and report any issues promptly to maintenance teams.
Qualifications
- Valid HGV Class 2 licence with relevant driving experience.
- Proven experience as a commercial driver, particularly with tipper vehicles.
- Delivery driver experience preferred, with good knowledge of local routes and navigation systems.
- Strong understanding of road safety regulations and best practices for commercial driving.
- Ability to operate tipper trucks safely and efficiently, including tipping mechanisms.
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in documentation and delivery processes.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work night shifts consistently.
