Job Summary:
The Accounts Assistant is an essential part of the finance team and will be responsible for a variety of day-to-day operations such as financial ledgers and bookkeeping.
You will be the first point of contact for colleagues, customers and suppliers who have finance related queries as well as managing delegated areas of the finance function.
You will be working closely with the Head of Finance (HOF) to ensure that information is timely and accurate.
Duties:
- Management of the Accounts Payable processes including but not limited to the processing of Accounts Payable Invoices and Credit Notes and Supplier statement reconciliations.
- Management of the payment runs including but not limited to the Monthly Supplier payment run. Ad-hoc supplier payment runs, Expense payment runs.
- Liaise with suppliers and provide quick responses to escalated queries.
- Assisting with Accounts Receivable tasks as requested by the Head of Finance. Accounts Receivable is owned by the HOF; this is occasional support, not a standing responsibility of this role.
- Assisting with the annual audit as requested by the HOF. The Annual Audit is owned by the HOF; this is occasional support, not a standing responsibility of this role.
- Bank reconciliations.
- Administration of the Cashflow.
- Petty cash management.
- Credit card management including the processing of transactions and management of the facility via the online portal.
- Processing weekly workshop hours.
- Supporting the preparation of monthly management accounts.
- Preparing job analysis and relevant information to support decision-making.
- Stock Management
- Maintaining familiarity with core HOF tasks, as far as practicable, to provide cover during the HOF's absence.
- Any other delegated responsibilities

Essential
GCSE Grade C/4 or above in Maths and English, or equivalent
Ability to communicate clearly and professionally by email
Desirable
SAP working experience
AAT Qualified or working towards
