As we continue to grow, we are looking for a friendly, professional and people-focused individual to join our Front of House team.
About the Role
The Front of House Team Member is one of the most important roles within Aptitude.
You will be the first and last person our members, guests and visitors interact with, helping to create the welcoming atmosphere and high standards of service that Aptitude is known for.
This is a varied role that combines reception duties, customer service, administration, sales support, café assistance and general day-to-day operations.
We are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys working with people, takes pride in delivering excellent service, and thrives in a busy environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesReception & Member Services
- Welcoming members and visitors in a friendly and professional manner
- Checking members into the facility
- Answering telephone calls, emails and enquiries
- Managing bookings and member appointments
- Assisting members with account queries and general requests
- Supporting membership administration and cancellations
- Promoting memberships, services and upcoming events
Customer Experience
- Creating a positive first impression for all visitors
- Building strong relationships with members
- Handling feedback, questions and complaints professionally
- Ensuring members receive exceptional service at all times
- Supporting member retention through excellent engagement
Café & Retail Support
- Serving drinks, snacks and retail products
- Processing payments and operating the till system
- Maintaining cleanliness and presentation standards
- Monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages
Facility Standards
- Ensuring reception, café and communal areas remain clean, tidy and welcoming
- Supporting opening and closing procedures
- Reporting maintenance issues when identified
- Helping maintain the overall presentation of the facility
Administrative Duties
- Membership administration
- Data entry and record keeping
- Supporting management with operational tasks
- Assisting with marketing activities and social media where required

Previous experience in customer service, hospitality, leisure, retail, reception or administration is advantageous but not essential.
Attitude, personality and willingness to learn are equally important to us.
Working Hours
Part-time – approximately 26 hours per week.
Shifts may include:
- Early mornings
- Evenings
- Weekends
- Holiday and sickness cover where required
Current operating hours:
Monday – Thursday: 05:45am – 9:00pm
Friday: 05:45am – 8:00pm
Saturday & Sunday: 07:45am – 4:00pm
